I just plugged my Hydra into a different computer, and it is MUCH better. The 3d wands in simple3d are almost straight, I have to turn the base a just a tiny bit and then pointing the wands at the monitor yields perfect results. So any idea what is happening?

    Edit: Interesting development..

I can no longer run Simple3d through MotionCreator (latest beta) I can only run it from "steamapps\common\sixense sdk\SixenseSDK\samples". Now when I run it through that, the 3d wands line up how they should. I do have to rotate the base clockwise just a tad, but otherwise it's working. Will test it in some games now.

Also getting a lot of bending, I think that is the term. No matter where I place the base, the 3d wands seems to curve around the 3d base when I move the physical wands towards the physical base.

Well guess I need to contact Newegg to get a replacement.

The simple3d link through MotionCreator points to the the Steam installed version. The SDK just was updated but the packaging changed slightly. I'll update it by the next patch.

I'd try playing The Portal 2 MotionPack on the computer where it is behaving better and see how it plays before returning it. In the meantime, I've requested that we produce a video that shows simpled3d running with a good unit and in a good environment.

On your main setup try turn off or better yet physically remove all electronics that you don't need on at the time, inluding usb hub's, dimmer switches etc. Move the tablet out of the way ( i don't know if they interfere or not ). Use the usb cord that came with the Hydra and plug it straight to your computer.
