    Nothing I try works..

Just bought a Hydra and I am having a really tough time trying to find good things about it. I've messed around with all the modes, tweaked the sensitivities, yet nothing makes this controller accurate enough for playing. I have to play on medium or high or I have massive jittering, and medium and high feel really slow and inaccurate.

TF2 I set sixense_enabled 1 and now the gun moves around, but the crosshair stays in the center.
Skyrim my guy is always going crouch, I barely have to tilt the damn controller. It's on the default sensitivity, and I don't have that problem in other games.
Surprisingly, Minecraft is the only game that felt fun to play with this controller. The only thing ruining it was the terrible jitter.

The only electronics near the Hydra receiver is my TV, my mouse, and my keyboard.

Anyone have any suggestions for me to try to improve my experience?

I think what you should do is to try to uninstall everything (Razer App + Motion Creator) and do a system restore before you installed them. I solved a lot of issues with this.
Regarding, Skyrim, even I had some issues some the same as you said and I decided to create my own mces. They all worked perfectly as I wanted.
The Razer mce that the used for the old games are some of them bugged. The one they created for TF2 is so bugged that it jams up trying to select a weapon! So use the MCEs created by Sixense or even try to create yours using the Editor.

Unfortunately I can't do a system restore as I have system restore turned off because I use a solid state drive. I was able to uninstall everything, and do a registry scan for old keys they may have left behind and deleted those. However, somehow MotionControl is retaining my old settings when I reinstall it. I looked all over in appdata to see if it saves some data there, and couldn't find anything. Where could it be hiding this saved info?

    Edit: Forgot to mention this.

This is what simple3d shows me when I'm sitting about 2-3 feet back from my TV with the controllers in a neutral position: http://imgur.com/ND8so

Is that normal? I would've figured they'd be pointing straight forward, right?

Here is a thread about the static crosshair issue in TF2:

My guess is your base is rotated 90 degrees ccw. The wands in simple3d should point forward if you follow these instructions:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki_55urw2KQ&feature=plcp

Definitely try and stay within 3ft of play.

Some LCD's have been known to increase jitter. Try moving the base away from the monitor and see if your jitter reduces.

Well my base is aligned exactly how he describes in that video. The razer logo is pointing straight and I'm parallel with its axis. I even moved it a little further away from the monitor. Now it's about 2 feet from the screen, and I'm using the controls about a foot or two away from the base.

Something is wrong here. Might it just be defective?

It looks like the coils may have been mounted incorrectly. Try turning your base cw 90 degrees until the wands in simple3d point forward.

No matter what direction I turn it, they never point straight. The only way I can get them to point straight is by keeping the base pointing forward like normal, and then angling the controllers to the left, like this: http://i.imgur.com/gSHJc.png (Except the controllers stay level, just pointing to the left.)

Hopefully you were rotating the base while holding the controllers in your hand and not while the controllers were docked.

Yes, I kept the controllers in my hand while someone else slowly rotated the dock lol.

I'm starting to think I got a badly defective Hydra.

Yeah it doesn't sound good. Simple3d should track your controllers preceisly and should be pointing away from you when the controllers are pointed forward relative to the base.
