They seem to work in direct intergrated games but in stuff with mces i have to be a little rough to get it to work. This was the case in the few games i've tried, such as left for dead 2 for rachetting on the right pad and magicka on the left.

am i just being silly and they need a bit more push as the normal buttons seem fine?

also, any eta on left for dead 2 intergration?
