Assuming there will be an MCE for this? Can you use the Diablo 3 set-up(i.e. use button 3 and 4 for right and left mouse button, and left controller for hot bar). Is it heresy to be a little more excited for this game than Diablo 3?

Considering 3 of the original team (I do believe) in charge of D2 broke off and are doing T2 now, I dare say you should beNot that Blizzard's D3 won't be any good, but their games deserve the same amount of criticism as any other game company's. From what I saw of the Beta, I'm not terribly inclined to spend $60.
But as far as an MCE goes, I'm sure! lol
I enjoyed the D3 beta last weekend, but I know what you mean about parting with $60, but I'm not sure if thats because I'd already seen the beta playthough, so knew what was coming and kind of ruined it for myself OR I am just scrooge-like about video games purchases! Coming out of the beta I tried out torchlight, and noticed that while torchlight doesnt have the same combat finesse (of course TL2 may do, but I haven't played that), i did prefer the faster pacing. I dont think I have time for both (stupid life getting in the way), but the logical answer would be buy both! Either way, I was surprised how well these games play with the hydra. I only bought the hydra for fps's, but now i'm using it for pretty much everything.
I know exactly what you mean! I think the hydra combines the best of both mouse precision and gamepad comfort. I've been doing very well with it at Starcraft 2 and other RTS, and have pretty much decided that the Hydra is my preferred gaming peripheral lol. And oddly enough I do more RTS gaming with it than I do FPS gaming lol....I only bought the hydra for fps's, but now i'm using it for pretty much everything.
Between Tera and D3 both in May I don't think I can find time for T2. Some day though, after D3 is played out for me.

And then there's Tera... lol, I am very excited about the MCE for that ;P
And I will more than likely make a custom MCE for TL2 anyway, which I will totally share here once it's out.
Basically its got to a stage where we are complaining about there being too many good games coming out and the limiting factor is time! Thats a pretty good place to be.
Lol MaxBob, that it is![]()
So just an update on this thread. D3 is great, the mce works great! who'd have thought the hydra would be so good for this type of game? as for Torchlight 2. played the beta. its awesome of course. I used the D3 mce for it. Of course thats not really ideal because the two games are set-up quite differently. Will you guys be making a tl2 mce? If so, can I suggest you keep the same buttons for D3 mouse left and right buttons (much better than the shoulder buttons used for torchlight and D2 mce), and use the shoulder buttons for health and mana potions? then the remaining 6 buttons on the face can be used to map to the hotbar skills, plus the two bumper buttons could be used for hotbar skills as well. What do you think?
PM me if you'd like after TL2 is officially out. I'm sure I'll be making an MCE for this if the guys haven't jumped on it (and probably after... lol, I like to customize my settings). I'd happily share once it's working
My personal favorite L/R button assignment is respectively on the right controller's 3 and 1 buttons. Those are the ones you mean, yes? For potions I was thinking cw and ccw on the left controller myself.
Didn't get to play the TL2 beta! I missed out![]()
