Have you tried common solutions such as:

-Moving electronics away from the base.
-Moving base away from monitors or other electrical equipment.
-Positioning base nearer to your right hand than your left.
-Try another computer, ideally a laptop to move around and rule out environmental interference.

It may be possible that your Hydra is defective, did you buy it online or retail?

I'd recommend returning the unit for a replacement if you've tried it in a different area with a laptop and had same results.
