Advanced Movements - aka Doublejumps, Rocketjumps, etc...
Hi all!
I'm a big fan of the hydra (can't wait for the button & gesture customizing tool + jitter decrasing improvements) and its great fun to play with it.
The TF2 Integration has one flaw: it's nearly impossible to coordinate jump+duck+fire behind you with the exact same timing. Additionaly doublejumps are also very difficult to performed precisely.
If you want to get a feeling for the possible rocketjump implementation try this binding and alias in the tf2 console, strafe to the left and use the binding to shoot a rocket to a wall/the ground near you on your right side.
bind mouse3 +rocketjump
alias +rocketjump "+duck;+attack;+jump"
alias -rocketjump "-duck; -attack;-jump"
Alternatively you can watch this clip to get a feeling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRnw1SV06lk
Maybe its possible to add jump additionaly to button 1 if you are not in the sniper mode?
Kind regards

you can rebind any of the buttons using the bind UI, bind command, or sixense_bind. I used the bind ui and set up rigth controler 3 as jump (was t i think) and left thumb down as crouch. works fine for me.

You find them difficult ? I never had any problems with double jumps, and it took a bit of practice for crouch jumping but I never really had any problems. I guess you'll get used to it eventually.

I use custom key-binds, so I don't have any problems with movement. I could post my config information if you want it.

Cool stuff actually. Back in the TFC days I sometimes used scripts for some of the more advanced scout conc jumping maps but I haven't used them on TF2.
