    Filter

Could you please add an option in the software to add / adjust filtering, to reduce flickering and / or jittering? I know you have the capability to do so because Portal 2 has this feature, and I don't know why the software by itself wouldn't be able to do this. I just need a little bit of a filter to get slight shakiness out, most likely caused by slightly shaky hands (these are scary accurate motion controllers).

I've been meaning to add a slider. For now you can just use a force_filter.txt file. You can find one in the Razer Hydra App directory. You can just copy and paste it in the root directory of the MotionCreator.

    The force_filter.txt contains 4 numbers:

The first number is the distance from the base to start ramping of the filter value.
The third number is the distance from the base to end ramping of the filter value.
The second number is the start value for the filter
The fourth number is the end value for the filter.

Default force_filter.txt values that Razer shipped with are:
    800 .93 1200 .98

At 800mm or less, the filter value applied is 0.93
At 1200 or more the filter value applied is 0.98
Anywhere in between, a linear ramp of the filter value is applied.

Awesome, thank you, I'm going to try this out now.

Since the MotionCreator Beta software didn't come with this .txt file, does that mean it wasn't filtering at all, and the official Hydra software was? That would make perfect sense as to why the MotionCreator beta seemed more jittery than the official release.

    Thanks, again!

There is filtering, it is just not as aggressive as what was shipped.
