Thread: Grids broken?

    Grids broken?

I can't get click or key grids to work, neither in StarCraft 2 or in my own MCEs.

When I activate a grid, the mouse is locked to a single cell, and I can't move the cursor to other cells.

I've also tried them with the old version, and they still work in it.

Yes they were halfway broken. You couldn't change quadrants after selecting the activate grid button but you could point first then activate. It's fixed now and will be in the next Beta update. Thanks for the report.

    Re: Grids broken?

The grids still appear to be broken.

I modified Borderlands profile by copy/paste/mod from SC2 & LoL and no matter what I try, it always selects bottom-left cell.

Also, calibration doesn't seem to work properly - unless I put my controllers ahead of the base, I have to keep them in a way that the ends near me are close, and triggers far away from each other in order to keep sticks in SDK parallel. I'd rather like the positioning to be like in the demos on youtube, where you can comfortably lay your hands down and play.

Thanks, It looks like I broke support for grids using mouselook.

Calibration? What is the calibration you speak of? The sixense_simple3d.exe is not showing you the correct orientation of the controllers. We need to update the SDK.

Regarding calibration, here's, how I have to keep my sticks in order to point forward (not only simple3d, but also left/right gestures and aiming):

    1) . . O
    . . . \ . /

    2) | O |
    2a) equivalent to 2)
    . . | . | . . O

Option 1) is easier to organize on desk, but it makes my wrists hurt
Option 2) works pretty well, however I tend to pull my hands back and I end up in option 1)

I'd like to calibrate it in a way, so I can keep the sticks like this:

    . . O
    . | . |

    or
    . . O
    . . / \

I also have to keep them pointing a little up. It's kind of weird, as I could see official youtube movies, and people had them kind of pointing downwards. The perfect option for me would be starting MCE, it asks me to take the sticks, handle them in position that I consider to be neutral, click triggers, and it remembers the position.

btw, thanks for responding so fast
