    My Hydra problems

    Portal 2 works perfectly.
Every other supported game has major issues:
My screen or the image shakes so bad that the games are unplayable. Last night i was able to steady the image by moving the base unit, but today nothing helps. The actual game menus dont shake or jump around, only while in game this is happening. Again, this problem does not happen with Portal 2, no matter where i place the base unit that game works perfectly.
Next, tje gesture commands are out of control. Simply navigating with the left analog stick is enough to make weapon selection flip back and forth or make me jump all over the place.
I will accept any help, but i hope its not too complicated. Im not a pc whiz like all you seem to be.

    Hey JoPYTHON,

Lets choose one of your MotionCreator games and use it to get this working properly for you, preferably an FPS title.

It sounds like you most likely are receiving interference from something in your play area. Interference is far less noticeable in Portal 2 for several reasons I can go into if you'd like.

A few questions will help me diagnose the problem.

Are you on a desktop or laptop?

Can your park your cursor in the middle of the screen while the game is running and move your base away from the electronics and see if the severity of the jitter changes?

If there is a power brick for a laptop or another device near by try unplugging it from the wall.

Leave the controller on its side with the cursor in the middle of the screen as you unplug devices till the jitter completely stops. Chances are there is one unshielded source of this interference and once you unplug it the tracking will be proper.

    Re: My Hydra problems

Hello. Im using a desk top pc. My "monitor" is a 42in plasma televison. I have PS3, xbox360 and Sony soundbar receiver all close by. I will try Crysis 2 again. I need to have most of these things plugged in obviously, but i will start by unplugging the xbox and ps3. I can move the base unit the full length of the cord if i need to, but that did not help previously today. I will try again. Ill be back.

    Re: My Hydra problems

I unplugged the xbox, the ps3 and the sony receiver. The only other two items are the pc itself and the televison. The jumping did settle down a little bit with the base unit fully extended from the pc, but never fully went away. Also i cant really use this controller if i have to move it this far away. I can try and move my pc to another room and use another televison for experimentation, but in the end that wont be a practical solution for me if that works. The PC and televison i am currently using is plugged into a monster power/surge protector. What now?
.... also to add. The settings for high, medium, low for the motion settings wont stay selected. I put everything on low, but they always reset to medium.

Just to clarify, the power sources for the consoles is what would cause the issue. Make sure the actual power bricks themselves are unplugged from the wall socket. There's is something in that environment causing your jitter, try unplugging the surge protector as well.

    Re: My Hydra problems

Well, i took my PC from my bedroom, out to the living room and hooked up to a different hdtv. Totally different environment, but i am having the exact same issues.
The jittery screen is as horrible as ever, but only in MCE games. Its not the cursor that jitters, but rather the the entire game image shakes and shimmies. The cursor remains centered .
Also, the persistent random gesture commands are ever present, but i did see a improvement when i held the left controller in a vertical position.
The base unit is extended as far as possible from the PC. there are no electronics within several feet of the base unit.

    JoPYTHON,

We believe we have an idea of what your issue may be, however it is a theory at the moment and are working on developing the solution. Would you be interested in beta testing the solution when it is available? We understand if you don't want to and apologize for the inconvenience.
