I wouldn't want to switch DAW's just to use sixense :P

Ignoring suggestions is most definitely a problem in open source. Sure, anyone can contribute, but most projects only have a few people who actually code for them, take blender for instance, outside...
Give reaper a try, you can assign any midi input or joystick input to any slider or dial, so you could assign any sixense input to any effect parameter (echo, pitch on a synthesizer, etc.)
It also...
What could you possibly want with the source code? What would you want to do with it that you can't do with the ability to edit gestures?
I personally would rather have a well made GUI interface...
I say just wait, let the hackers and modders mess with it first, you might be surprised at what they make. Open source isn't everything.
I doubt this is a question they will answer, I imagine you'll have to hack the device to find out.
Same here.
The SDK is already available through steam, it's under the tools menu.
Awesome! :D
Yes, Thank you!
EDIT: looks like you guys need to fix your registration process, new bots are still getting though.
Ok, we have what, 6 spambots active on the site at the moment?
Only the dead sites collect spam
I'll personally stick with my Sennheiser HD 500A's and my Technics SU-G91 + SB-A33's
Can you guys please ban the spambots?
please?
They might add support for professional 3d applications, where there is a much stronger market, as well as higher paying customers. I doubt that sixense is going to develop controls like that for end...
I'm not sure there's going to be much "official" support for camera controls in game engines from sixense. Your more likely to get support from the modding community for each engine.
There's not...
Are you planning on using game engines or 3d software like blender, 3dsMax, or Maya?
Thats been there for a long time though...
I don't think it will help you get the hardware any faster.
I think at this point indie devs just have to wait for the hydra to release, it's a bit late...
Well, my DAW allows assigning joysticks to midi functions, so as long as I can get to all the functions through a joystick output then I can do whatever I need 8-)
Found it, it's in this interview, the bit about the buttons starts at 1:20

I only play with my hand, but in some games (mainly in quake-like) I can get maybe 720 degrees in before I have to lift the mouse.
of course, I can only do that because I have a Razer Krait :P
I heard it in one of the youtube videos, a reporter asked how many buttons it had, and he started naming them off.
I can't find the exact video atm, but I did find another one, that has some good...
I'm pretty sure it does have a stick button, and I know I don't mis-click the stick buttons on my controller.
Well, the thing's releasing in april, can you wait until then?
The computer can only get the mouse position once per frame. If it changed while the frame was re-drawing, you'd have a warped frame, because the view position changed while the frame was rendering.
