Hello,

I got my Hydra a few days back and am really enjoying Portal 2 and TES IV: Oblivion without any problems. But mostly I wanted to play Dead Island with it so I downloaded the beta mce from this forum and copied it to the Sixense folder, then restarted the Hydraconfig.exe and it showed in the config with all the other games.
So far all good, but when I stard Dead Island, the default mce is loaded so I can only control the view with the right controller.
I have tried everything that I found on this forum, checked if the exe is ok, in the config it's Deadisland.exe and in the processes it's deadisland.exe -> I tried to run the game with both, none works.
I also tried to ALT+TAB from the game and restart Hydraconfig.exe, didn't help. I also tried to copy the mce from the latest Sixense motioncreator beta software but with the same result.

Am I missing something ? I have no idea why it does not work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

On a side note, sorry for this off-topic but I am really curious how should I use the Motioncreator beta, is it something like the .mce files editor, or is it a client like the hydraconfig.exe ? I really searched all the topics on this forum but didn't find the answer to this, sorry if I just missed it somewhere, if this is the case just paste me a link here where I can find this info.

Thank you,
Thrinn

Dead Islands correct executable is named "DeadIslandGame.exe' for me, not 'deadisland.exe'

Also, its case sensitive for the MCEs to work. So if you got Deadisland.exe and deadisland.exe, you got to make it match. Though i don't know how you could have a different executable than 'DeadIslandGame.exe'

The MotionCreator beta application is run in place of the Hydra config app you're using. Download the .zip from the release thread, unzip it, run the .exe. If you have the Hydra configurator running in your tray our app will notify you and close it. If you manage to run both applications at the same time you'll see very strange behavior.

As far as the Dead Island detection problem goes, see if the beta software resolves this. If not, as a temporary fix you can right-click the title in the game list and select "force" this will immediately load that profile, alt-tab back into Dead Island afterwards and play.

Thank you Dan, for the quick reply. I have tried to play Dead Island with the beta software and it's working great.
Definitely my best buy of this year :)
