At what rate is the Hydra intended to operate? Checking with mouserate, I get a value of about 75Hz, which is strange since the default USB device rate is 125Hz. Many Razer mice have "ultrapolling" (1000Hz or 1ms) as a feature.

I've noticed the lack of fluidity in motion when looking around in FPS games with the Hydra, it very much resembles mouselook with an old mouse at 125Hz or less.

Is this the intended usb polling rate and will a future update allow for 1ms polling?

Additional testing seems to show the device is operating at 62.5Hz (update every 16ms, or half the default USB rate of 125Hz/8ms). Attempting to force it through hidusbf has no effect.

Can other users verify this through checking your rate via one of these two programs?

The Hydra updates at 240Hz, sending a USB packet every 4ms. The MotionCreator interface, however, updates more slowly, updating at 100Hz. We're working on improvements to this and future versions should have an even higher update rate.

Thanks for the reply.

I noticed the product page mentions under "Low Latency Feedback" that "...delivers instantaneous response at 60 times per second". If the Hydra is updating at 240Hz, is there something wrong with my configuration in that diagnostics are showing a rate of only 62.5Hz? Should it be showing 240Hz?

You mentioned future improvements, is this with regard to future hardware or a driver update for the existing hardware?

I would expect usb diagnostics to report the 240Hz.

We're working on some driver updates to make the MotionCreator updates a bit more smooth. For most of the MCE profiles, they already are very smooth and don't need improvement.
