View Full Version : "Sixensable" Games
Which games would be a good fit for Sixense TrueMotion controls? We're looking for suggestions about which games would really benefit from precise motion controls, from big AAA titles to smaller indie titles. If possible please link to the game's page so we can check it out.
Well, i think you guys have hit the mark partnering up with Valve on the Left 4 Dead series. I mostly only use motion controls to play on my PC. Currently I'm using the EEE sticks from Asus and I have a blast playing L4D. There's nothing quite like a dishing out a melee strike with a swipe of your hand or throwing bombs with a raising gesture. I also love using motion controls in games that have dual-wield; it's really cool and immersive seeing my character holding two guns like I hold the two controllers, so I would like to see this tech in games like Call of Juarez or Halo. I have also used my controllers in games like Operation Flashpoint, where I found myself actually aiming down the "sights" of my controllers to get those precision shots. Lastly, it would blow my mind to see the 1 to 1 motion applications of your controllers in games like Mirror's Edge and Zeno Clash (Valve published this game--hint, hint) specifically when it comes to the melee attacks-- it would be awesome if you guys come out with special versions of these games like you're going to do with the L4D series.

-Portal 2 might be cool to play with sixense. (Or portal 1)
-Mirror's Edge maybe, although who wants to sit there and pump their arms up and down like they're running :P
-Darwinia (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/978/) Would be pretty neat to have the ability to move your arms to zoom in and out and control your guys instead of the typical mouse/keyboard combinations.
-Could do a racing game such as grid (http://store.steampowered.com/app/12750/) with spinning the sixense being steering, then breaks could be a button.
-I haven't played a flight simulator yet, but with the possibility sixense gives I would be tempted. Depending on what you're flying the controls could change. (Sixense can detect depth as well if i remember correctly?). So say your flying a helicopter then you hold the sixense vertical like a joystick pull back and you go back, push forward and you go forward, tilt right/left and you pitch right/left, and a twist could turn you right and left. On that note it could be added to a game such as Bad Company 2 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/901297/) if only for vehicles, although I'm sure the whole game would be suitable for the sixense.
-Zeno Clash (http://store.steampowered.com/app/22200/) is a fighting/story game, I felt the fighting using my keyboard and mouse was done really well, it could be taken to the next step with the sixense.
There's so many possibilities but these are the main ones that come to mind.
Sorry that all the links are to steam, I don't bother to go to dev's websites much anymore.

Metal Gear solid 4
Uncharted 2
Socom4
Resident Evil 5
Lost Planet 2
Gears of Wars 3
These games i find harder to aim than first person shooters. So being able to point and shoot instinctively and instanly will make this games a whole lot better for noobs like me! Now I will have an edge over those who use a Dual Shock 3!
You guys are the future!
As much as I love their tech the people behind Playstation Move are nuts not to put an analog stick like you did.
I know genius when I sense it and see it.
So I am going to support Sixense.
Goodluck with your deal with Sony.
More power. You guys rock!

Thank you both for your suggestions. We will look into them. Please continue to share with us if you think of more.
Mount & Blade: Warband would be awsome with sixense since it has the best dueling combat ever : ) also some old games that would be awsome with it is Jedi knight jedi academy , and ofcourse photoshop but thats a program : P

An earlier prototype of the Sixense was controlling Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 PC in the below video. I would love to be able to play the game this way.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0Gk_sflEhI
I also echo the Resident Evil 5 mention. Sixense would be perfect for that game with the precise aiming required.
A couple other suggestions:
Project Eden (http://pc.ign.com/articles/164/164378p1.html)
Darksiders (http://www.darksiders.com/#/home)
Hopefully we''ll be able to configure the Sixense to work with other games (much like you can with PC gamepads). Any idea when this will get released yet (approximate)?

They're a little old, but the Black and White games would be perfect for this. You could just reach out and grab things, like with the P5 Glove only not glitchy.

I would love to see support for the Penumbra Series (http://www.penumbragame.com) and its upcoming successor Amnesia: The Dark Descent (http://amnesiagame.com/#main). The whole gameplay is based upon physically grabbing, moving and turning things, so sixense controls would be the logical next step.
Another game i would like to play with a sixense would be Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Since it´s release 2006 it still has a very large fanbase and there are literally thousands of mods for the game that make it visually far more appealing and much more immersive than ever. It would be wondeful to swing my sword or stab my dagger with a Sixense!
I would also like to see Aiming (arm/gun movement) and Looking (head-movement) completely separated if somehow possible (e.g. Armed Assault or Insurgency). This would be a major breakthrough for those of us who are gaming with an HMD or a TrackIR Device! Would that be possible while integrating sixense support into an engine?
Thanks in advance! :)

what about The Elder Scrolls 4?or Fallout 3...Half-life 2 may be a good choice, just like Portol...
we've seen truemotion in FPS:Left for Dead... why not show it in other types of games, sports, etc
PS: RUSE remote controller...
Loving these suggestions, we almost have too many to work on right now. The multi touch controlled Ruse is very interesting. All Source engine games are currently supported thanks to our help from Valve. Penumbra is great because it shows how the player can reach into the environment and manipulate it.

Hello. I'm a big fan of controllers that offer unique and fun new ways to play games. I enjoy the Novint Falcon controller greatly, and I've been anticipating this controller's release since the press got a good look at it in January. I'm saddened at the continued lack of information on the product, however, such as any type of tentative release date, any range of price, or a hint as to the final design of the product(though, honestly, I love the sleek way the devkit looks as it is). Hopefully we'll get a good amount of information this week at E3!
That said, the types of games that immediately came to mind for this product aside from first person gaming, are the classic point and click adventure titles that TellTale games have been pumping out in fantastic quality(and quantity). These games already have a great backlog of titles, and a bright future ahead with the up and coming Back to the Future(Holy Sh) series and Jurassic Park titles. These games feature extremely simple controls, and it seems that implementing the Sixense motion controls couldn't possibly be easier, nor could there be a better match! Definitely hit up TellTale games on this one.
John Carmack himself is obviously behind the product, so hopefully even Doom 3 gets retrofitted with these controls, as well as the up and coming Rage. id's titles are known for being very mod friendly, so this should also be an easy operation.
You also have your general sports games, all of which make perfect (six)sense. Imagine throwing a football and having it actually measure the proper distance and feeling of a complete pass. Get the perfect catch while fishing and pull your controller back to reel that sucker in. Or how about holding the two controllers up vertically in front of you, and then pulling one back to really simulate some archery!
This next bit is for people like me who absolutely adore the niche titles and rhythm games that are out there. Some people will look at the controller and think of the great way these could be implemented into a drumming game. I am also reminded of the game Samba De Amigo, the Sega classic maraca game. And if that isn't weird enough, What about a Cooking Mama style game that uses these? Flip those pancakes in real time, cut up some vegetables, and then stir them in the pot! It may not appeal to everybody, but this would be a unique way to use the controls, and games like the best selling Cooking Mama series appeal to the casual market a lot, if not only because everybody can relate to cooking naturally. And how great would it be to have natural motion controls to go with it?
These are fairly general ideas and uses for the controller, but it's just the tip of the iceberg. You could implement the controls extremely well into even simpler projects like a Jenga-like simulation where you must carefully remove blocks from a tumbling stack. Or how about those wacky electricity games where you need to almost surgically guide a pole through an electrified maze. And speaking of electricity and surgery, how about a take on the classic board game Operation? Board games in general could benefit from these controls by rolling the dice and moving your pieces. Again, all basic ideas, but the potential of the Sixense is obviously great. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with, and I can't wait to get more information from E3!

First I shall name the obvious. John Carmack is on the team, and id is now a part of ZeniMax, thus a clear choice for "Sixensable" games would include id (Doom Series, Wolfenstein Series) and Bethesda's catalog of games (The Elder Scrolls Series, Fallout 3, etc.)
Secondly I must absolutely positively advise the sixense to be modular, in the sense that the device be made of a sensor module, and a controller shell. This way, peripherals aside from the default controller could be created and sold in order to increase the immersion of a game. Picture a glove shaped controller for that CAD demo you guys had made, instead of the microphone shaped thing you had. Or a gun shaped controller (lightgun games on the PC... WHAT?!). Sword shaped? Hell yes! Kind of sounds like the Wii accessories, but, if you guys were to refine that as much as you seem to have refined the "notion of motion" itself, you could have more than the absolutely awesome product it is, you could change PC gaming forever. Sure, motion controls are awesome for PC, especially super accurate ones such as the Sixense appears to be, but I'm of the opinion that gaming's most important aspect is immersion. The closer the control device is to what is onscreen, the more the player forgets that s/he is playing a game.... My two cents.
Now I shall name Games I would love to see controlled by the Sixense, in no specific order.
Mech Warrior Series
Mount & Blade Series
Spore
Dawn of War II (Probably falls under the default RTS scheme, but worth a mention)
Arx Fatalis (oldie but a goodie)
Black and White series (these games almost seems as if they were made for something like Sixense)
Fable Series (if they ever release Fable 2 for PC, anyway)
Frozen Synapse (if you haven't heard of it, it'll be worth a google, this game deserves all the attention it can get)
GARRYS MOD (Possibly the most deserving game worthy of Sixense controls!)
Indigo Prophecy (and Heavy Rain, if that ever makes it to PC)
Darwinia (Someone mentioned it, but don't forget Multiwinia!)
The Penumbra Series (another very honorable mention for Sixense control scheme)
Portal Series (yes i know, all source games, bla, bla. it was worth mentioning once more, and you know it :p)
Psychonauts (!)
Rayman Raving Rabbids (or any of its successors were they to make a PC appearance)
Sacrifice (another oldie but a goodie)
Any Star Wars game in which you get a lightsaber. (Durr)
Starcraft II (Yes, RTS... But think of the custom map control possibilities if Sixense were to be directly integrated into the editor!)
Generic First/Third Person Shooter Template
Generic Real Time Strategy Template
Generic Point and Click/Adventure Game Template
And lastly, Garry's Mod.... again. I'm not completely crazed about Gmod or anything like that, I just think that it could possibly benefit it the most. Granted it is a Source game, so its probably already on your list, but, will it be as awesome as the CAD demo video? If so, it could possibly make Gmod the model game for Sixense. If not, then you guys should get to work on that, it would be pretty awesome.
Edit: Changed "not" to "now" in line 1.

I should also note that Bulletstorm is an upcoming title that desperately needs to have these controls implemented into it. The grappling "energy lasso" and the big bad boot kick would only be made more visceral and exciting to use with the truemotion controllers. Definitely keep an eye on this title.

What about Unreal Tournament 3/4 ? There will be a whole bunch of mods focused around Sixense.
It would also be nice to see Sixense in RTS-Games like League of Legends or maybe Starcraft II, im just thinking of smooth zooming the whole battleground and drawing the route my units will take.
offtopic: would be nice to see a "mouse mode", this would enable us to play casual games like planet of goo, plants vs. zombies or the path right from our couch, without the need of waiting for an optimized verion of the game.
Edit: What about Guild Wars 2? This would be so awesome!!!

Make it work with Onlive.com and that will automatically cover tons of AAA titles as well as indies.
They already support 5 controllers. They have a bunch of games that require precise aiming like Unreal Tournament III, Just Cause 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Borderlands and others.
If i had this remote of yours, Onlive is where i'd be using it in most of my games
Also, i'd probably use it in League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth. Outside of those two games though, it's all onlive gaming.
update: also, it would be good to have Media Center for windows 7 ultimate controlled like a remote with hotkeys set up and have it set so that when you wave your hand it wades through the movies you have.

A game that comes to mind is TERA. TERA is an up and coming true action MMO game with a big emphasis on swinging big weapons. I'm sure sixense could help them out in becoming an amazing game.
Here's a clip of some swinging action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQvaGjGQL48
Also, I haven't seen a lot of footage from "Project Offset". It's going to be an objective-based multiplayer FPS with classes and stuff.
Here's a clip of Project Offset: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpdPWVfaBQs
And the website: http://www.projectoffset.com/
And one game that I feel would be PERFECT for this technology is SKATE 3. As you might know SKATE 3 is the skateboard simulator where you do the tricks by flicking the gamepad pads.
I feel that with two sixense controllers you could just imitate the feet of the skater and perform tricks remarkably well.
SKATE 3 in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esyRn-gTB3o
Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Perfect game for sixense. (Yes, it's coming out for pc too)

So long as it acts as an accurate mouse I'm already satisfied- free floating controllers are much more comfortable than something you have to slide around a desk so I'd probably use it all the time. Then if carl kenner gets it working with glovepie I have everything I need.
I also agree with the guy who says it should be modular- then maybe this device could even be used for vr and homebrew motion capture. Although like I say, I have no idea how it handles occlusion and whatnot so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

First of all, I'm extremely excited about this controller, this is a must-buy. Games I would like to play are:
Assassin's Creed I & II
Prince of Persia series
the Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth I & II
elder scrolls IV: Oblivion
the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Trine
And then I saw all the demos on the sixense youtube channel. But I was a bit disappointed at how all the games where played while sitting. For some games this is perfect, But for games like Star wars the force unleashed, I was hoping for the ability to actually slash with the controller for doing lightsaber attack. In the early tech demos like the one at Nvision08 and the sword in the Left 4 dead 2 demo, the controls did work like that.So how come you guys do not use it in other games?

It would be really great if these controllers worked across different platforms, whether it be PC or on the consoles. Maybe they could convert the wii remote's input or the playstation move's input if possible.
Anyway, add starwars the force unleashed 1, 2 to that list! :P

I would like to see desktop integration. ie using the controllers like a multitouch device controlling the windows on your screen.
Although it's currently inactive, it would be cool to see this working with something like Project Looking Glass:

A cool game to Sixensalize would be Red Faction: Guerrilla. It would be really cool to support gestures. Throwing remote charges, swinging the sledgehammer, etc.

I love gaming, but i think it would be great if Sixense were have a possibility to be used not only in games. It will be great controller to use it in 3D modelling or graphic programs (and generally in Windows).
Particularly interesting are presenting the ability to use two controllers in same time - in 3D programs it will give a new, amazing possibilities.
Hmm... Back to topic:
"F.E.A.R" series games
Old "Mechwarrior" games
"Kane&Lynch" games
"Counter Strike 1.6" !
"Echelon - Wind Warriors"
"Lineage 2"
"Max Payne" games !
"MX vs. ATV"
"Nerf Arena! Blast"
"S.T.A.L.K.E.R" series games
"Chronicles of Riddick" !
"Battlefield" series
"Freelancer"
"Homeworld" games !
"Sins of a Solar Empire" !
"Painkiller Black Edition" (original game with "Battle out of Hell" expantion)
"Necrovision"
"Chrome" & all Chrome Engine games
"The Witcher" and coming "The Witcher 2 - Assassin of Kings" !
"Star Wars - Jedi Academy" !
"Star Wars - Battlefront 2" !
It's great to see so many suggestions from the community on this. Many if not most of these titles we already have GML support for actually. As for multitouch windows navigation, the idea has occurred to us, it's complicated to actually do though.
Those of you asking to see RTS play we're all over that, we've got some tricks up our sleeves you're going to love. You can see a small taste of Starcraft II in the video below.
Here's our latest GML showcase video if any of you have missed it. These are just a select few of our GML supported games.

I would really love the America's Army Games to include 2.8.3 and 3.0. These are free games and have a great experience in FPS and team work. I have been playing these since the beginning and would love to see them supported totally for the US Army that makes this game for free to us for just advertising.

-I know Oblivion's been mentioned frequently, but given recent announcements I believe TES5- Skyrim might be a better fit, especially considering the introduction of dual-wielding.
-The Void is perfect for Sixense with its painting element.
-Prototype and/or upcoming sequel.
-On an indie note, Wolfire Games (http://blog.wolfire.com/)' upcoming Overgrowth is begging for motion controls to make the fighting system even more immersive.
-Another indie, Farbs' wonderful Captain Forever Series (http://www.captainforever.com/captainforever.php) (as a downloadable client, given config requirements?)
-And for a laugh, I'd love to see what you could do with Super Meat Boy!

Hello
I'd like to state that I am a huge fan of what Sixense has been doing. I have been obsessed with following every little bit of information I can find since I heard about this project, which started when i first saw it demoed with Portal 2. It has been one of the largest focuses my attention has had in a long time, the only other thing I have been this interested in in the past 2 years is:
BRINK, I have not been this excited about a game since i learned about Team Fortress 2 in 2006.
Which is why I would like to suggest this title as a candidate for Sixense to support. Not just because I've been keenly anticipating it, but because:
Brink introduces the S.M.A.R.T.(Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) button system. Allowing a level of freedom of moment not seen before in a FPS. To combine the freedom of control of Sixense technology with the movement systems Brink has demonstrated, from my limited point of view, seems like a perfect match. Bringing these two together could unlock an even more amazing and fluid level of play then was ever expected.
a video about the S.M.A.R.T.
http://brinkthegame.com/media/videos/?id=76
From the Brink website:
"Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you're used to and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold down the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you're trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you'll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART."
http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/9/96962/1692712-brink_dev_diary_4_smart1_super.png
It's been said on the "Splash Damage"(developer of Brink) forums, even tho players will have the ability to use the smart system to allow players to automatically manipulate complicated movements over random levels of terrain. We will also be able to perform these same actions and movements via manual controls, those who learn to use the manual controls can give players an even greater edge. To combine these manual controls that the SMART system uses with the Sixsense could prove to be the ultimate interface as we know it.
http://www.thedlcshow.com/storage/game-developers/splash-damage/brink/Brink%20-%20Character%20art.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION= 1296205105569
Tho I am not formally acquainted with coding, I like to think i have a certain level of understanding with it.
Brink is based on a heavily modified version of the IDTECH4 engine, which also supports the following games:
* Doom 3
* Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil
* Quake 4
* Prey
* Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
* Wolfenstein
As such, if Brink was to be supported by sixsense it may make the rest of the IDTECH list of games easier candidates for addition support.
I would also like to Suggest The still ever popular Team Fortress 2. There are all sorts of maneuvers I have always dreamed about performing, the way the pro players do, in the game but have never been able to do it with the standard mouse and keyboard.
Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to hearing any thoughts or comments towards Brink and Sixense.
Ps.
I was in a near death motorcycle accident coming up 2 years ago. It left many parts of my body crippled, and tho I can still lead a semi active life now, My right hand has had a long recovery, for 5 months it was motionless and dead, for many months after that it couldn't even hold a piece of paper let alone play normal video games. Its thanks to companies like Sixense and Nintendo that have opened the world up of gaming and many other forms of technology to people like me with there motion control technology, giving us back some fun in our lives and a large piece of what we once took for granted.
I say thank you, these products are not just fun new toys, they are also important tools to many people like my self. I am lucky that my right hand has recovered beyond what the experts thought it would ever reach, it will never be perfect, and i have up coming surgery this year to try and repair more damage to it, but i was well informed that the surgery could cripple my hand even worse then where i have it now. If that happens, I am glad to know there are companies like Sixense.
Thanks for your input everyone, keep it coming we're actively developing middleware support for titles right now and your input is influencing the project.
@Otto
Thanks for your input and for sharing your story. Sixense's motion control is precise to the point that using our middleware application MotionCreator we can bind various gestures, tilts, twists, and thrusts; all in X Y and Z, at designated angles and inertial values. Through the combination of these gestures the number of controls accessible through motion of a single controller without even using a button press are immense. If you can move a controller you can play most games. Further details on MotionCreator aren't available yet but it definitely will help you play games at a level of competency you might have previously thought impossible.

I'd be interested in seeing the SDK priced for indie developers - I've personally been working on a project that would greatly benefit from controls of this type - especially when it comes to the problem of separating the weapon controls from the camera controls - close range weapons would work so much better with Sixense.
I'm also a fan of an old MMOFPS/RPG game called Endless Ages that's just starting to go into re-development, I think it would do well with Sixense support - it's controls involve aerial combat and there's a constant problem with going in the wrong direction since you fly the direction you aim the camera.
Other than that I agree that Skyrim is a great candidate, I can't wait for Portal 2 :D

I would like to see sixsense adapted to flight simulators like Xplane or Microsoft Flight Simulator. I think it would be really awesome to move as I normally would to interact with the flight controls. This might be better suited to a full body motion sensor but if you could even come close I would definitely buy and recommend it. Also I am sure it has been said, but pretty much any boxing game. Jedi Outcast would also be cool. But mainly the flight sim stuff. Oh and Skyrim definitely needs to work with this. That would be huge. I would be tempted to pour money into Razer stock if I saw a working version of that if it didn't suffer from floating weapons.

Hey guys,
I would really love to see you guys supporting racing games with Sixense. And it kinda makes me sad that i havent seen any notable racing game being supported ... so far anyway.
Now since Hydra features trigger buttons those could be used for acceleration and braking (quite obviously). But the real question is: how to best mimic steering with 2 free hand controllers.
Now I have a couple of possibilities on how to do this (in no particular order):
1) Height difference between controllers
Now this way of doing it seems the most straightforward. If you hold right hand controller higher then left hand controller you steer left and vice versa. Very intuitive in my opinion and i imagine also very foolproof and accurate.
2) "Holding an imaginary wheel"
Now this would more closely mimic an actual wheel, but i dont really see it being practical or doable because the controllers would cross that way which is strange.
3) "The one I saw on your video" :-) ... turning just one controller with both hands
Great idea but there is an enormous downside and that is: How do you accelerate and brake? I imagine it could be doable by making the controller face more "up" to accelerate and more "down" to brake. But the problem for a human being would be (i imagine) to separate those two movements with enough precision to make it effortless.
Now it is pretty obvious that all this applies to pretty much every racing game out there ... so ... what are your thoughts guys?

I beg off you to have at least Skyrim support for full integration in upcoming games. Since John Carmack likes em does that mean it will have full inegration in Rage? I would love to throw those ninja stars at free will!

Lol the games arent even out yet!
I am desperate for penumbra support. When I saw amnesia was supported I naturally thought that penumbra games would be too since there isnt too much difference in the games. But no :(
I am so desperate for the penumbra games to be supported that I even posted a request on the user made forum offering 5 dollars to the first to make them.
If you guys at sixense could make it, I would be sooo happy.

the most complex game I would love to see would be Mech Warrior 4...
I noticed people mention it here and there but I can only dream of the control customization I could come up with for the hydra with Mech Warrior.
I also saw someone mention Guild Wars 2... i've played the original Guild Wars since the 2nd year it made its appearance... GW2 WITH THE HYDRA WOULD BE EPICLY AMAZING!!!
those would be the two big titles I would send a request for, unless someone would make a MCE for the original GW, which would be great aswell....

GW1 + 2 would be great. The way I played GW1 with a joystick wasn't that great. I could make a mce for GW1, but not now, maybe later.
And I want it for Trackmania 1 + 2: The left controller for steering (like a wheel or like a joystick) and the right for acceleration (push forward= accelerate, backwards = break). But not using the Keyboard emulation, TM has an interface for analog inputs (for gamecontrollers).

Hi,
x³ Terran Conflict would be nice to play with hydra.
It´s a space simulation and could benefit from all the axis and motion from both hands.

Well there are 2 titles that would really benefit from having native support. Beat Hazard and Audiosurf each game has a multiplayer mode that, if set up properly, would make it possible for each player to play with one controller. In audiosurf all you need to map are the 2 action buttons(mouse left and right usually) and the left to right motion, in beat hazard you could move your ship with the motion sensing features, and control aim with the joystick, and also not to forget the special powers in the ultra dlc.
Awesome implementation in tf2 btw. :)
Oh almost forgot:

Audiosurf +1

Maybe it's not that good idea, but I always wanted some light-gun-like games on PC. I don't know contemporary titles. But something like The House of The Dead. I suppose the possibility of use Hydra as a light gun replacement could be interesting. Still don't know the titles...

Have you guys found any other developers besides valve who are willing to work with you? A game like BulletStorm could have extremely benefited from it, I mean imagine all the moves you could do if you could move dynamically. Have you thought of going for Mojang? Direct integration for MineCraft would be pretty epic. Also have you tried putting in free aim for simple FPS like Battlefield 3 besides Team Fortress 2 putting it in the to main popular Shooter franchises Battlefield and Call of Duty would also gain some acknowledgement and maybe a super hyped RPG like Skyrim? I've seen some games that look like they could benefit from your Razer Hydra Free-aim

Especially Serious Sam 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Un4uzdc1r0
besides free-aim this game would be even more epic if you could do free melee like in L4D2 with the hammer and stuff and freely use the energy whip. Also maybe a local co-op feature where you and a friend can both share the controllers. Serious Sam seems like a perfect opportunity to have another game show it off besides Portal 2 and L4D2. Also I hear FrictionalGames is thinking about using motion controls for their next game I think you should jump at them. If you really want this tp be a hit get the Asian Market interested by throwing in Direct Integration into one of their MMOs/F2P games or something and Razer does have some connections with Asia.

It would be beyond amazing if you guys can collaborate with Bethesda and get some kind of Zelda skyward sword style melee system setup for Skyrim. Imagine having total control over both hands! :P

Would love to see HAWX being played with the hydra. Flight Simulators are really unique in terms of input so integrating hydra support with them would really make great use of the controllers motion sensing.

Gish
Gish is now Open Source, and it's a unique physics based puzzle game like Portal 2. You could add some interesting new mechanics.
Best of all, the Razer Hydra even looks like Gish! You could change Gish's eyes too to make them look like the top half of the Hydra base.
I haven't quite worked out what the mechanics or controls should be. Maybe some sort of two-handed stretching? Rotating?

I would love to see if you could work on getting full integration with Borderlands 2. As far as I know it's still in development so idk if that makes it easier or harder to do integration but I'd be happy if it happened.

ALL OF MY VOTE ARE BELONGS TO YOU! I'm playing Borderlands I with the MCE right now. Direct integration with Freeaim (exactly like that in TF2) in Borderlands 2, combined with some gestures for activating the action skill or doing melee attacks, would be more than epic.

If you really want hydra play to spread like wildfire, there are two things you should probably do:
1. Give game developers very good reason to build integration into their new games by default.
2. Make it as easy and effortless as possible for modders and hydra fans to mod hydra integration into existing games. (the MCE is a great start on this front, though obviously has usability issues)
I am particularly interested in the latter, since it would empower players to retrofit their favourite games, and the quantity of hydra-integrated games would explode. Of course, many mods would probably be of low quality (buggy and unbalancing gameplay), but it would nonetheless give many more players more reason to buy a hydra in the first place. You’ve already excellently demonstrated the quality of your product with the Portal 2 Motionpack. You just need to work on quantity to get more people onboard. Novint were quite clever in this respect when they created F-Gen (http://www.novint.com/index.php/products/fgen).
And with more hydra users comes more reasons for developers to build hydra integration directly into their new games.
It would be good if players didn’t need to rely on professional developers to add direct integration into every single game that players might want. After all, there are far fewer developers (inside Sixense and inside game companies) than there are players. Harnessing players as contributors will drastically increase manpower here.
It would be highly beneficial if completely novice people who happen to own a hydra (or are thinking about getting one) could quickly look up short and simple tutorials that tell them exactly how to add specific effects (like being able to swing a melee weapon with the right controller, or how to carefully lob a grenade around a doorway with the left controller) maybe via the unreal editor, the CryEngine, Frostbite, the Source engine, the Unity engine, Blender etc.
I think when any player can add some basic direct integration to any game using one of the major engines, in just a few easy steps (but more tweaking and advanced creative mods not too much more difficult), then we will see the community of hydra users grow, driving the increase of hydra-integrated games made by game companies.
By the way, I would like to see direct integration with editor packages like Maya, 3DS Max, the Unity engine, etc. It would be very nice to be able to directly manipulate objects rather than having to tweak axes.
I would also add my vote to any game that uses melee weapons (so that we can get more L4D sword swinging), and to any game that could benefit from tactical usage of grenades and mines (eg using the hydra controller to throw or roll grenades in very specific ways). EDIT: Add to that, games that involve dual-wielding (either melee weapons or guns) could also benefit much from direct hydra integration

Crysis 3! It would be great with integration on release day!
Because the crysis team also like to experiment with cool stuff and now not only targets pc but also consoles maybe there could be a kind of motionpack for hydra and ps3 move (like with portal 2).

I would like to add far cry 3. But i also agree with borderlands 2. I dont know so much about the game mechanics in dishonoured but it looks cool, and it would be fun to use the hydra for more than fps. Fallout 4 is two years away, so maybe its possible to have integration on release day.

Hi there,
I have just taken the dive and ordered a Razer Hydra - looking forward to it's arrival. Would love to get an answer to a couple of questions please... Will there be direct integration with Borderlands 2? ...And similarly, Will there be direct integration for Guild Wars 2?
I really want to play these 2 games with the Hydra, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Thanks!

Hi, guys, I just got a hydra and my obvious favorites are Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and the upcoming Dishonored. These games have a lot of melee interaction and are on top of my list for true integration. Other games with a lot of melee are Chronicles of Riddick and Zenoclash. Skyrim is also a great choice.
I do believe however that it should be made clear what is meant by direct integration, because I am not referring to a movable cursor but to actual 1:1 interaction in line with the characters movement on screen. Amnesia and the Penumbra games are another obvious choice, opening and closing cupboards and doors with an actual gesture will be awesome.
Too bad that direct integration is limited for newer titles, otherwise I'd say Undying all the way :)
